Charles Town, WV | Laura + Eric's Courthouse Wedding | Annapolis Maryland Wedding Photographer

Sometimes the weather isn’t how you’ve planned or pictured it for your wedding day. I think every bride eagerly watches the weather updates the week leading up to their wedding to see if there will be sunshine or rain for their special day!

Laura and Eric planned an intimate courthouse wedding followed by portraits with family, but the rain still was an unexpected addition to the scheduled weather. I woke up early for the misty and rainy drive from Baltimore to Charles Town, WV. As soon as I arrived, I started looking around the area for buildings that would provide coverage from the rain when the time for portraits came. We originally planned to visit Harpers Ferry for Laura and Eric’s portraits but with the rain, this wasn’t possible. Thankfully Charles Town has several historic buildings with pillars, overhangs, and covered porches that we were able to use to capture portraits with Laura’s family and friends who braved the rain to celebrate Laura + Eric’s love and commitment to each other.

Regardless of the rain, Eric and Laura's wedding was perfect.
