Frederick, MD - Julie and John - Ceresville Mansion Wedding

December 17, 2016

I'm so excited to share some of my favorite elements of John and Julie's wedding with you! After several weeks of hurricanes, Julie and John's wedding day dawned with warm sunshine. Their wedding day, October 29th, had the perfect weather in historic Frederick Maryland's Ceresville Mansion (The last time I had been to Ceresville was in July when the area experienced torrential rains that caused great damage to several towns, including historic Ellicott City - but Julie and John's day was exactly opposite).

Julie, a nurse, and John, a police officer, met via online dating and quickly fell head over heels in love. For their day, Julie and John chose to have a small bridal party but a large gathering of friends and family. The couple honored the Blue Line by incorporating the color blue into their decor and wedding details.

Julie and John prepared for the day separately at a Frederick hotel and later transitioned to Ceresville for their First Look. Ceresville has beautiful grounds with gardens next to the mansion, a Pergola and a reflection pool adjacent. It also has a beautiful bridal rooms on the 2nd floor of the mansion. Julie and John had their "First Look" in the garden  next to the front entrance of the mansion. Julie was absolutely stunning in her Maggie Sottero Gown with its beautiful lace details. The couple exchanged their vows under the pergola as the sun set and chose to use a sand ceremony to symbolize the blending of their lives together.

Many of Julie and John's portraits were able to be taken before the ceremony so that they were able to mingle with guests during part of the cocktail hour. Julie switched into a cocktail dress during the latter part of the reception and everyone continued to celebrate with laughter and dancing late into the night.

John and Julie snuck away from the dancing to take night portraits before returning to the party. It was such a wonderful privilege to be a part of their special day!
