Stephanie and Michael | Liberty Mountain Resort Wedding

Stephanie and Michael’s wedding day dawned with sunlight and those beautiful puffy clouds that capture color so well! I remember driving from Glen Burnie, MD to Fairfield, PA where their wedding was to be held at Liberty Mountain Resort and being so excited for the lovely weather. It had been a little over a year since I photographed a Liberty Mountain wedding and it was great to be returning to the resort for this special day! It was a little chilly for Stephanie in her gown though as the wind picked up a little bit around the resort but other than that - it was beautiful!

Liberty Mountain Resort has 3 different options for weddings that each offer their own unique views and advantages. Stephanie and Michael’s wedding took place at the Highland Lodge’s overlook terrace which they chose for its stunning views of the surrounding mountains and golf course. For their colors, Stephanie and Michael chose wine, blush, and grey which they incorporated within their flowers and decor. While Stephanie’s bridesmaid carried fresh floral bouquets, she and Michael had unique wooden flowers made into her bouquet and his boutonniere. I thought this was so unique and something that will be a beautiful keepsake! Another special touch was a bottle of wine and handwritten notes to each other that they sealed during the ceremony and will have the opportunity to open together on their anniversary to remember the love and joy they felt on their wedding day!

Although they opted to skip the first look as a couple, Stephanie had a first look with her father on the terrace before taking a few portraits with her family and bridesmaids prior to guests arriving. Stephanie was such a stunning bride, even with the tears she tried to hide as she walked down the aisle towards Michael! I loved watching their interactions together when we went down to the golf course for their couple’s portraits. The sun was setting over the mountains and cast the most beautiful shades of soft lavender, blush, and a touch of gold into the sky behind them. Although the celebrations continued with the reception, dancing, and sparkler exit, to me, the sunset was the perfect end to their beautiful day!
