Elegant Private Estate Wedding | Catherine + Kyle | Annapolis Wedding Photography

Spring Bridal and Groom Portraits while bride twirls her wedding gown - Annapolis Wedding Photographer

Catherine and Kyle had a beautiful private estate wedding on Memorial Day weekend. Catherine and Kyle met in high school art class but didn’t start dating until Catherine was in college with Kyle’s sister (who helped reunite the two now love-birds!). From the first conversation I had with Catherine last August, she shared how important family is to the both of them and they love their large families! This was apparent throughout their day from the wedding location (Catherine’s family home in Davidsonville, MD), the special long banquet tables set for their close family with heirloom photos, and the interactions between the couple and their guests. They spent the last year gathering vintage china and details for that perfect personal touch for the wedding. Although the skies threatened rain (and there were a few rain drops that fell during the outdoor ceremony!), the showers stayed away until everyone was safely under the reception tent.

This wedding had so many special moments, its hard to pick just one thing to showcase! See if you can catch glimpses of a few of my favorite moments from the day:

  • All of the gorgeous details! Every space was thoughtfully and artfully decorated to showcase the love for Catherine and Kyle (C + K emblems were an important part of the decorating) and love for family.

  • While getting ready, Catherine was helped by her two sisters, Gabrielle and Alexandra, and their mother, Julie. I love the candid moment when Catherine's Grandmother came in to greet her during gown buttoning process.

  • In addition to the first look with her bridesmaids, Catherine had a quick first look with her father Hugo, which was perfect and equally adorable were the quick portraits with some of the family pets (including two new kittens).

  • Kyle's emotion when seeing Catherine for the first time while she walked down the aisle was such a beautiful and priceless moment.

  • I could go on, from the couple's wonderful dance moves while the band plaid, Catherine's twirling dress, their laid back demeanor, the humorous and touching toasts, delicious food, wonderful planning by Katie at Social Graces Events, and beyond.

Congratulations Catherine and Kyle on your wedding and new home as well! Your day was beyond special and I am so honored to have had a part in capturing these moments for you and your family to cherish for generations!
