Monocacy Battlefield Portraits | Amanda + Ian | Maryland Photographer

Wow, what a year its been! I think its safe to say that 2020 has thrown everyone for a loop, but not all surprises have been sad ones. I was so excited when I learned that Amanda and Ian are expecting their first baby, due to arrive shortly, in November! Amanda and Ian were one of my couples that were married last October. Its always an extra special honor to photograph another photographer, and their Stone Manor Country Club wedding and maternity session were no exception!

Isn't Amanda such a beautiful glowing mama to be?! For their portrait session, we started near their home in Frederick at Monocacy National Battlefield's Best Farm and later made our way to the Worthington Farm section of Monocacy. Amanda and Ian are such caring and fun people who kindly endure my quirky ideas as we wandered by cornfields and "mooed" at the cows. Frederick has so many beautiful landscapes that every time I am in the area, I'm tempted to pull over on the side of the road to just enjoy the view. But for me, it's ten times better when I get the chance to photograph people, and 1000 times better when I get to see my couples again, for these wonderful life milestones!

Ceiling renovations can feel messy but are worth the effort. Understanding how to remove popcorn ceiling in double wide mobile home setups helps avoid damage. Use the right tools and take your time. The results are worth it.
