Quiet Waters Park | Eaker Family Portraits | Annapolis Portrait Photographer
Many people have laughed at me when I share that I love the feeling of stepping into a hot car on a warm day after coming from an air-conditioned space. The best way I can describe it is like feeling the warmth of a hug from a friend. My analogy mostly stops there as the heat can definitely become stifling (any else experienced an awkwardly long hug?) but the loving warmth is what reminded me of the Eaker’s family portrait session from last summer which I’m sharing today!
I met Ashley several years ago at a Pinterest night hosted by a mutual friend and later volunteered on the tech team next to Ryan at our church. I was so excited when Ashley reached out to me about photographing their family portraits to celebrate their daughter Grace turning two but was honored even more when Ashley shared that she was pregnant with their 2nd child and wanted to use the photos as a surprise to share the exciting news with friends!
We met at Quiet Waters Park in Annapolis to photograph their portraits. I love spring and summer portrait sessions in Maryland because of how nature is so bright and reminds me of the vibrancy of life. We took a few photos on the bride by the gazebo, the reflection pool and in the gardens at Quiet Waters Park with a #2 balloon (One thing to note that we weren’t aware of beforehand is that balloons aren’t allowed in the park)! Grace loves to read and Ashley brought along several children’s books to help share the news that Grace was about to be an older sister which was so perfect!
I absolutely loved spending time with the Eakers and Grace’s joy while playing with her father was absolutely precious!
