Alexandra and Alex met when they first started working at the same store and realized they had to figure out a new nickname (for one of them) because they both went by Alex!

Originally, they planned a small ceremony at Alexandra's mother’s home but when the opportunity arose to have their wedding not too far from Frederick at Riverside On The Potomac near Leesburg, VA, they immediately switched plans. This included also switching their date but having a Thursday worked out perfectly for everyone and the weather was lovely for their bohemian and garden themed wedding. Alexandra and Alex poured themselves into putting together a day that represented them and their relationship. Incorporating quotes that they loved into their reception space, putting together their own florals (they even originally attempted to grow their own flowers!), and bringing in delicious vegan food from their employer, Roots Market, were just a few of the many personal touches that Alexandra and Alex made with the help of their 18 person bridal party. When I met with Alexandra to talk through her timeline, I was impressed by her passion for sustainable living. She shared her dream of taking the farming and gardening techniques that she has learned to her community in Puerto Rico who currently have few tools or knowledge to related to sustainability themselves. I loved that their wedding was grounded (hehe) with this passion alongside their faith as well. When I heard Reckless Love by Cory Asbury start playing as Alexandra began walking down the aisle, tears immediately filled my eyes and I definitely wasn’t alone as Alex also started tearing up as he waited for Alexandra to officially become his wife. It was such an incredibly special day that I was so honored to be a part of. Congratulations to you Alexandra and Alex! I can’t wait to see where God takes you both!!!
