Vanish Brewery Wedding | Jawti+San | Frederick Wedding Photographer

Jawti and San met at a few gatherings for Burmese (which brings Burmese together that have migrated from Burma with the same dialect). San is from Washington, so their relationship has primarily been long distance. Jawti and San were married at Vanish Brewery near Leesburg, VA in August! When I arrived at Vanish, Jawti and San were both taking care of details and finishing touches. Due to the weather, the last minute decision was made to hold the ceremony inside rather than at the nearby ruins on the property. Since this had been their original spot to have the ceremony, Jawti and San had their first look at the spot before the rain came and we also grabbed a few portraits nearby. The brewery has a field where hops are grown and, although I'm not much of a beer drinker and have never seen this before I immediately loved the setting!

At the ceremony, Jawti and San kneeled and were prayed for by their pastor, performed a sand ceremony and signed the marriage certificate. A few of my favorite highlights from the day were:

• Watching Jawti twirling her wedding gown on the lawn near the brewery.

• Jawti and her family gathered to release white balloons in honor of her parents who have passed away during the reception.

• During the father-daughter dance when Jawti and her adopted father danced and then invited the rest of her siblings to join in.

• Embracing the rain by sneaking out for a few minutes with Jawti and San to capture a few night portraits in the rain in front of the brewery.
